About Geoff Vlcek:
Geoff came to KUOW in 2008 through his work at the University of Washington as the program coordinator of cellular phones. His prior jobs were all in retail management and inventory systems management for companies like Circuit City, Office Depot and Verizon Wireless.
Geoff enjoys meeting new challenges every day at KUOW. "I am really glad to work with such interesting and wonderful people. Last pledge drive was my first, but after all the help and encouragement I received from both the staff and the incredible volunteers, I am certainly looking forward to the next one!" he said.
In his spare time, he is an avid sports fan and road tripper. Since 2005 he has visited 46 sports arenas around the U.S., including Wrigley Field, Yankee Stadium, the Georgia Dome, Palace at Auburn Hills, Coors Field, and many more. Geoff also plays poker, coaches baseball and is a photography afficionado.
