About Ian Carrick:
Ian Carrick grew up on the northeast coast of England and graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, with an M.A. in Philosophy.
Ian came to KUOW in 2009 as Director of Major Gifts and Grants, having worked in development for over 15 years. His fundraising service has included Habitat for Humanity, America's Second Harvest, and helping to establish over twenty new schools in England. He sees building effective, mutually rewarding relationships with supporters of KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio as a key part of his job.
After arriving in Seattle in 1988, Ian taught at the Northwest School until 1993. He has two children who share his interests in music and songwriting.
