About Tami Kosch:

Tami grew up at the end of a road in Homer, Alaska, the banana belt of south central Alaska. In school, all of Tami's report cards said in the comment section: "Tami is a good student, but talks too much." A career in radio seemed certain.

After college at Central Washington University, she worked in theater as a stage manager. Within six months she ran out of money and peanut butter and got into radio. In commercial radio she played music and said over and over and over, "South 405 is snarled up through Kirkland." She gave wreck checks for KZOK, KMPS, AM1090, KIXI, KLSY, KMTT, The Buzz, KUOW and others. She hosted a public affairs interview show for 1090 called "Community Matters Weekend Edition."

Tami enjoys visiting with you weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on KUOW2 91.7. She gets excited every Friday because "Science Friday" airs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

After hours, Tami likes to hang out in coffee shops, go to the movies and ride around Puyallup in the shadow of Mount Rainier with her mare, Compass.
