Safeco Insurance Festal 2008 – Northwest Folklife Festival
KUOW and Seattle Center present the Northwest Folklife Festival. One of the largest free folklife celebrations in North America, the festival hosts more than 7,000 participants and stages more than 1,000 performances at 27 venues with food, music, art and dance. Wing Luke Asian Museum – Community Grand Opening
KUOW and the Wing Luke Asian Museum present the public grand opening of the new Wing Luke Asian Museum on May 31 and June 1 at the remodeled East Kong Yick Building in Seattle's International District. Opening festivities include drumming and dance performances. The Museum's exhibits and programs tell stories of local history, art, social justice, and the Asian Pacific American community. Taproot Theatre – Over the River and Through the Woods
KUOW and Taproot Theatre present Over the River and Through the Woods, May 14 through June 14. Nick wants to move to Seattle. His traditional Italian grandparents propose a compelling reason to stay in New Jersey – the lovely and single Caitlin O'Hare. Bellevue Arts Museum – Anna Skibska: Follow the Line
KUOW and SecondStory Repertory KUOW and Bellevue Arts Museum present Anna Skibska: Follow the Line: The Path to Form, a glass installation on view April 8 – September 21. Skibska molds thin, transparent glass bars into ribbon shapes, which are then fused together to create complex structures that defy the notion of the fragility of glass.
