Safeco Insurance Festal 2009 — Hmong New Year Celebration
KUOW and Seattle Center present the Hmong New Year Celebration. Recognize the Lunar New Year with the Hmong immigrants who came to America following the Vietnam War and whose southeast highland culture has been preserved through storytelling, embroidery and music. Simple Measures — The Fifth Essential
KUOW and Simple Measures present music from Beethoven to the Beatles: chamber music presented in a new way. Simple Measures' fifth season opens with a collaboration with Seattle Dance Project, featuring original choreography that juxtaposes classical music with rock, and fuses modern dance with live music, all inches from the audience.
