Peter Blecha: Solving the Mystery of the Coppock Guitar
10/24/2009
Peter Blecha is a Seattle historian and instrument collector who likes the challenge of tracking down rare instruments. He located Bob Dylan's first guitar and Hank Williams last one. Thanks to Peter's detective work those treasures now reside at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. Peter says he likes mysteries of history. His latest adventure in guitar sleuthing uncovered a forgotten line of electric guitars made in the Pacific Northwest. And the story of the guitar maker himself is one that Peter Blecha connected to as a musician, instrument collector and keeper of Pacific Northwest history. Peter Blecha spoke with KUOW's Dave Beck.KUOW does not endorse nor control the content viewed on these links as they appear now or in the future.
